Landscapes Galleries

Landscapes *MAIN GALLERY* : Landscape Photography holds a special place in my heart. Taking my camera out with me and trekking to unknown places in the wild may just be one of my favorite thing to do in life. The peacefulness of the forest & mountains is a place I can gather my thoughts and just RELAX 100%. If your ever in the need to just "GET AWAY" from it all, grab your camera no matter what kind it is, drive off in your car in the direction of a forest, mountain range or any beautiful land that nature provides us with and find yourself something you'd like to freeze in time and bring back home to look at anytime you need to have that FEELING again. It has to be the best method of relaxing I know of and that's not just because I'm a Professional and it's my job, it just is and always has been my way to get away form it all. Try it and enjoy my work ! ~Bill~

Fall / Autumn Colors 2008 : "2008 Autumn Colors Gallery"
Welcome to my Collection of Autumn / Fall Color Landscape Images providing a look into the Beautiful Color Changes in Northern & Western New Jersey October 2008. This year by far has resulted in some of the best autumn colors I've seen in recent years. No matter where I traveled in the state this year I was able to locate large clusters of beautiful color through out the landscape bearing bright reds, oranges & yellows with wonderful pinks & blues thrown in for good measure and to top it all off crystal clear pin point deep blue skies as natures back drop. Needless to say I've enjoyed this fall immensely and can only hope that next year will provide half of what I saw this year since I am now spoiled with the expectation of beautifully saturated colors.

All Images in this gallery were shot with a Nikon D300. Please feel free to leave a comment under your favorite images and choose Thumbs Rating while hovering over the image which will provide those images with a favorable rating for the most popular images on the sites home page gallery. Thank You for taking the time to view my work, I hope you enjoy your visit and the stunning colors I was able to capture this year! Hopefully this will provide others who do not think of New Jersey as such a beautiful landscape a look into what this state is really all about.

~Best Regards, Bill Pador~

"MIRACAL ON THE HUDSON" NY City Plane Crash US Airways Flight 1549 : On Assignment as a freelance photographer on 1/17/09 I covered the Recovery of US Airways Flight 1549 which crashed into the Hudson River New York City on 1-15-09 * Long But Interesting Story Below *
I spent Saturday 1/17/09 in Battery Park NY City covering & documenting the recovery of U.S. Airways Flight 1549. It was VERY cold at 2'F when the day started and ended for me at 5pm where it was 11' so it warmed up fairly good don't ya think ? This gallery contains the images I shot during the 12 hours I spent there waiting for them to lift the plane up out of the water. That didn't happen until 12am MIDNIGHT so I didn't get the shots I wanted but I did get some good one's of the plane in the water & surrounding area during the 'MAGIC' hours of sunrise.

** For the FULL STORY on my day please READ MY BLOG ENTRY HERE posted on 1/18/09.

Thanks & Enjoy the images,
Bill

The HISTORY of 'LONGWOOD LAKE"-Thomas Jefferson : The Story of "LONGWOOD LAKE" & "Thomas Jefferson ~ Jefferson Township New Jersey"
This gallery contains some images I took on 4/17/09 while hiking in the area of LONGWOOD LAKE in Jefferson NJ. While photographing the area & waterfall located there I met an older gentleman named Carl who proceeded to tell me about the history of the Lake & Waterfall which happened to be owned by the late great Thomas Jefferson himself. Carl told me he lived here in the early 1900's and grew up playing in and around the lake which was originally a huge IRON ORE Mine and then flooded when they dug too deep. The waterfall was erected to control the flow of water around the area and then eventually used to create streams that flowed down to the iron ore processing facility which they used to transport the iron ore with small boats and floating platforms. I had take a shot of a funny looking rusted rock and after speaking with Carl knew it was a big piece of Iron Ore. Knowing that piece of material COULD have been actually touched by Thomas Jefferson was a wonderful feeling, I was looking at & touching a piece of history.

So within these gallery pages you will find the images I took this day with an explanation of what your looking at. I hope you enjoy this gallery, meeting & talking with Carl and learning so much about what I was photographing is why I love being a professional photographer so much. Pictures always have a story behind them and this time instead of Creating the Story with my shots I was documenting someone elses story & history which was very interesting to me. Please feel free to leave any comments under each image if you'd like. . . . . Best Regards, ~Bill~
