This 300 lb. Black Bear was photographed walking along Weldon Rd. in Jefferson NJ June 5, 2008. He was well behaved and not aggressive at all. I believe he was waiting for his chance to cross the road but once I spotted him and started to photograph several cars pulled over to watch this beautiful animal in it's nature state, after approx. 15 min. I guess he got tired of watching US and strolled off into the woods looking for some dinner.
It was a very exciting experience for me as I had never been this close (approx. 30') to such a large bear before. Just a wonderful adrenaline rush was had by all. . . 'Bill'
