Bill Pador > "The Red Barn" Using the new version of Topaz Adjust 2.6 this red barn found new life. I love the textures & colors this software put out and makes it so easy to grab the Dave Hill look. I found this old barn on the way to drop something off to my daughter at school and stopped in the middle of the street to shoot it LOL. It's actually in someones front yard. We're getting ready for ANOTHER snow storm tomorrow bearing gifts of 6"8" of the white stuff, boy am I tired of this ! Enjoy your Day, ~Bill~
Bill Pador > "The Snow Covered Bridge" I was torn between 2 lovers, oh geez that was a song excuse me, I was torn between 2 IMAGES today for my POD but I finally decided on this one for some reason, a coin toss really but I did put the other one in my EXTRAS gallery because it was good enough to make me flip a coin. This little walk bridge has appeared before in a past gallery but I drove past it today and had to stop and shoot it at a different angle and it also had this fresh snow from last night on it. I made it a selective color to bring the viewers eye into the bridge by using foreground color in the weeds and added a custom soft focus filter I developed some time ago and use quite often which works well on images like this where there is a lot of thin branches to FLUFF it up a bit.(*as always B&W was created using NIK Silver Efex Pro) Thanks SO much for all your wonderful comments on yesterdays challenge shot. I've received several email's on WHERE I got the 'Jack Daniels' Coffee but as I stated I got it as a gift and have no idea where it was purchased. I would assume it probably came from one of those gourmet food shops you find in the malls. I don't even remember who gave it to me LOL. I[m gonna open it up tomorrow and give it a try and will report back on it's taste ! (*PS I was informed by Kre8ive that the JD coffee is actually cured in the JD barrels after they are done making whisky so it should have an interesting taste - yummy!) Have a Great day folks and keep on snapping, I guess winter isn't all that bad now - Check that it still sucks !! Bill Pador > "Autumn Colors Fade" As the Autumn Colors Fade they still present a colorful landscape here in New Jersey. The leafs are falling quickly and a nearing rain storm will probably knock a large amount of color from the trees as it passes through. I guess it's time to start firing up the Still Life studio indoors real soon and begin the winter practice of house hold macro shots. I've started writing down a bunch of projects to do for myself for when the time comes to be stuck in the house so hopefully I can keep myself busy and the ideas pouring from my brain. Sooner or later I'll be just like the kid on the old commercials staring out the frost covered windows looking at his bicycle all covered up in the back yard wanting spring to come LOL Have a great weekend everyone and hopefully there are still some fall colors in your neighborhood. ~Bill~
Bill Pador > "Coming To an End" Well the Fall Colors have treated me very well this year. It was a very exciting & productive season for color hunting and my successful trips day after day are now coming to an end. The leafs are falling from the tress faster then ever after a strong 10 day period where they were in full swing. Now as I look around they seem to be disappearing as fast as the clock hands sweep around every 60 minutes, bringing the dreaded winter months closer & closer. I still have a TON of images to process from my outings but they will get put into my Fall Colors Gallery soon. I wanted to do it yesterday but a last minute client booked a session that took me all day & not to process for gift purposes and my clients come first so I stayed up until 4am completing the job of processing over 800 images from the shoot. This shot comes from a spot around the corner from my home again and I liked the way the colors blended with the nice blue sky. Very little processing was involved, regular sharpening and a re-size is about all involved here. I hope you all enjoyed my Fall Color presentation this year and I look forward to grabbing some nice winter snow & ice scenes this year. I have a few SECRET spots I scouted during the summer so hopefully they pan out with some good images this year. Have a Great Day Everyone ! ~Bill Pador~
Bill Pador > This cool looking fly was giving off a PRISM Effect in the direct sunlight while buzzing around some bushes and I managed to get a captures where I got some great Bokeh on the back of the wings and get his eyes in focus. You never see a bug this close up with your eyes and see things much different through a 1:1 Macro lens that's for sure. Their kinda gross but interesting on the other hand.
Bill Pador > This Squirrel happened upon this duel branch and I managed to catch the scene which I thought was so interesting. Look at the squirrels expression, it's priceless !
