Bill Pador > "Smiling Joe Hits Some Skins"
Yes this is my Drum Kit that JOE has jumped on, it's a 'GRETSCH' Birch Custom with a few extra pieces added on with 10 cymbal's mostly SABIAN AAX cymbals with 1 Paste and a Zildjian 'CUSTOM' 20' PING RIDE (Sweet Cymbal) & 'EVANS' "EC2" Double Layer Gel Heads, , 'IRON COBRA' Double Bass & High Hat pedals. It took me about 8 sets of different heads before I found these Ec2's to make it sound the way I wanted but now it is PERFECT and I get a lot of compliments on it's tone. Do we have any other drummers out there ?

Bill Pador > "Blowing in the Wind" A shot of my neighbors basketball hoop that has taken some abuse during our many snow storms with the net showing wear & tears while it blows in the wind. This image has been post processed & tone mapped as a single frame HDR (*High Dynamic Ranging) photo to bring out the textures, colors, light & shadows.
Bill Pador > In Post processing I gave this image my custom mix of Soft Focus & Orton effect that I've found quite attractive using the proper image. It also shows 2 different levels of sky blue colors and how a SUN DIAL works pointing towards 2pm when this shot was taken. Pretty cool indeed LOL
Bill Pador > "Dried Flower Oil Abstract"
I was feeling artistic tonight so I headed off on a scavenger hunt in my house to try and find something worthy of an artistic hit. I stopped at my dried flower arrangement that graces the entrance of my home to shoot this oil abstract. It went through several filters to create the final image to include - TOPAZ 'ADJUST & SIMPLIFY' - FOCAL POINT - PHOTO TOOLS - NIK COLOR EFEX PRO 3.

I must be feeling sympathy pains in my back because of John (loquk) because I'm not feeling too comfortable tonight plus I got one of my very few headaches tonight as well. After taking some pain meds and some Advil I dozed off into a 2 hour nap but when I woke up I felt much better. My headache is 90% gone and the back is feeling 50% better. It's probably the result of staying up 2 nights in a row to complete post on the fashion show images but I finally got them done and have started the upload which I hope to complete tonight. I got a lot of great shots to share with the participants and think they will be very happy with the results.

I went back to Best Buy today and got my $70 refund back since the new Epson photo printer I bought went on sale less then 24 hours after I bought it for $70 less. I didn't walk out of the store with the money though, I spotted a new SAITEK back lit key board that I wanted on sale for $71, so I bought that and had to take $1 out of my pocket LOL. To me it was like getting it for free since I had already spent the money on the printer any way. This keyboard is very nice and is making it much easier for me to type FAST with a lot less energy to press the keys plus it looks awesome since it has 3 different back light colors you can change with the push of a button. I have a great idea for tomorrows image to show off my key board, so stay tuned for it LOL !

Have a great day everyone, thanks for all the great comments on my images the last few days!

The Looking Down Challenge...02/09/09
The Challenge: Show us your interpretation of "Looking Down."
The Participants: Kre8ive, John (300m), The Curious Camel, Karina, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, Johnloguk, MSpencer, Trevlan, FotoEffects, Hillary, MyKey, and myself.
The Result: "Looking Down the Length" The perspective of looking down the length of this kitchen tool using DOF to draw your attention in
Bill Pador > I thought these huge stainless steel silver pipes made for a great abstract with the teal color behind it highlighting the shape of them along with the lines in the glass panels. The only post was regular sharpening routine I do for all my images in CS3, file made smaller and the frame. Nice & simple for a Friday.

** Oh has anyone else been having problems staying logged in with your cookie on SmugMug by any chance ? Seems when I log off IExplorer and then fire it back up my cookie is not keeping me logged in and have to log in again for some reason. Just started happening about 1 week ago and I don't know how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas or having this problem ?

Have a GREAT Weekend everyone !
