Bill Pador > "Coming To an End"
Well the Fall Colors have treated me very well this year. It was a very exciting & productive season for color hunting and my successful trips day after day are now coming to an end. The leafs are falling from the tress faster then ever after a strong 10 day period where they were in full swing. Now as I look around they seem to be disappearing as fast as the clock hands sweep around every 60 minutes, bringing the dreaded winter months closer & closer. I still have a TON of images to process from my outings but they will get put into my Fall Colors Gallery soon. I wanted to do it yesterday but a last minute client booked a session that took me all day & not to process for gift purposes and my clients come first so I stayed up until 4am completing the job of processing over 800 images from the shoot.

This shot comes from a spot around the corner from my home again and I liked the way the colors blended with the nice blue sky. Very little processing was involved, regular sharpening and a re-size is about all involved here.

I hope you all enjoyed my Fall Color presentation this year and I look forward to grabbing some nice winter snow & ice scenes this year. I have a few SECRET spots I scouted during the summer so hopefully they pan out with some good images this year.

Have a Great Day Everyone !

Bill Pador > "I Love My Job"
This was an interesting shot for me, more of a great accident or event I should say. While I was outside shooting some wild flowers I have around my mail box I was hand holding with my Tamron 90mm macro on this flower & waiting for the wind to stop blowing. Just as I started cranking off a few shots this bumble bee landed right in the middle of the flower I was shooting to do his job and I was amazed that I was able to capture him pretty much in focus without moving a muscle LOL.

PP consists of a crop, some unsharp mask and the custom vignette I made to flow with the shape of the flower to give it some depth & to draw your attention to the bee and all the pollen he's covered in especially that huge blob of it towards his back leg.

Have a great day everyone, it's almost Friday !

Bill Pador > "MIDNIGHT LILLY"
-Looks Great Enlarged-
I Shot this Lilly tonight at my best friends house, The original was a beautiful image itself but I wanted to do something a little different then the usual FLOWER Image. So off I went into CS3 to work a little of my magic. I did most of the post using Nik Color Efex 3 filters by first bringing a grad filter into play, followed by some contrast adjustments and then a Midnight filter to give it the look of being shot late at night. Then a small amount of unsharp mask & then finished with a purple colored circular frame which I blended into the corners ever so slightly to highlight just the corners and enhance the end of the pedals and then enlarged the canvas with the square frame colors. *(Be sure to click on the image to enlargen it)*

This is NOT a macro image but was actually shot with my Nikkor 18-200 VR lens since i didn't have my macro with me. It was shot hand held using:
Nikon D300
LENS: Nikkor 18-200mm VR
Shutter Speed 1/200
AP- f/20
ISO 1000
Focal Length 112mm
Standing about 4' away from the bush and shot from an angle below the flower upwards.

I'm so Happy the way this turned out I think it will be going in my Portfolio, What do you think?
~Thanks for looking - Bill~
