Bill Pador > "The Red Barn"
Using the new version of Topaz Adjust 2.6 this red barn found new life. I love the textures & colors this software put out and makes it so easy to grab the Dave Hill look. I found this old barn on the way to drop something off to my daughter at school and stopped in the middle of the street to shoot it LOL. It's actually in someones front yard. We're getting ready for ANOTHER snow storm tomorrow bearing gifts of 6"8" of the white stuff, boy am I tired of this !

Enjoy your Day,
~Bill~
Bill Pador > Well today was a BUSY & NERVE RACKING day for me and I had no time to take a shot for my entry so I had to pull out an archive shot I worked on for today's POD. This is a shot of my 2 girls I took with my tiny 'Sony Cybershot U' while on the NY Ferry on the way over to the City from Weehawken NJ. I then tone mapped it and thought it looked cool enough to display so here it is.

I worked all night last night shooting a Sweet 16 party and then spent 8 hours processing the images all night long after I got home at midnight and saved them to a BRAND NEW 'IOMEGA' UltrMax 750 GIG hard drive I just bought a week ago. Then this afternoon while transferring other image files over to the new drive I had a complete melt down and my PC told me I had a hardware failure and the images were LOST. This was not only the last 6 months of DAILY shots I had taken (ALL Images not just processed one's) but ALSO All of my shots from last nights assignment AND the 8 hours worth of finished work as well !!!

OMG I just about had a heart attack since nothing had been backed up yet, so I started to grab my memory cards from last nights gig to run my recovery software on them to retrieve the images and start working again. Just for the hell of it I tried to access the new drive and sure enough the images were GONE it was EMPTY. My heart began to pump hard and I was pretty upset, then I decided to try rebooting my machine to see what happened. Well I was blessed and the hard drive was recognized and ALL my images were safe & sound. I IMMEDIATLEY backed them up to one of my other hard drives and tried to figure out what happened. In the long run I THINK it was actually my PC that had something go wrong while the images were being transferred and not a HD failure because my card reader wasn't being recognized either until the reboot.

Oh well, all worked out in the end and I can sleep better tonight knowing I didn't lose my clients images or the 8 hours I spent processing them :) Boy I hate computers LOL

Have a great day all !
